About 100 senior representatives from Australia and New Zealand’s leading solar installation and distribution companies arrived at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo for the 2022 REC Annual Awards. Finalists and winners in 18 award categories were announced by Country Manager of REC Solar ANZ, Gus Paviani, to acknowledge the achievements of solar installers who are setting the bar for quality solar installations in Australia and New Zealand.
For anyone who is interested in solar, this awards ceremony is one to watch! Established in Norway in 1996, REC is recognised as one of the world’s top solar panel manufacturers with a brand that’s synonymous with quality. REC produces its solar wafers, cells and modules for customers around the world in Singapore where it has established one of the world’s largest integrated solar manufacturing facilities. Using state-of-the-art technology, REC manufactures high-efficiency solar cells, which are assembled into solar modules for export. That’s why when REC announces the winners and finalists of its prestigious solar installer awards, the industry sits up and takes note.

Recognising achievers
“These awards serve as REC’s platform to celebrate and thank our highest achieving partners who have empowered our customers to switch to more responsible solar”, said Gus.
“They recognise our partners in Australia and New Zealand for their commitment towards designing and installing quality solar installations, advocacy for solar and for their outstanding sales contributions in the past 12 months.”
Quality all the way
REC has built its reputation as a world-leading solar panel manufacturer not just on the quality of its panels, but also the quality of its installers. Through its Registered Certified Solar Professional Program (RCSP), REC handpicks the best solar installers and trains them in REC’s solar technology, design and installation. Once accredited, RCSP installers can offer their customers the ProTrust Warranty, an extended warranty of up to 25 years on product, performance, and labour of the solar panel installation – all fully backed by REC.
It’s this thorough approach to quality that exemplifies the REC brand, making it the preferred solar panel brand voted ‘Best Solar Panels’ and ‘Best After Sales Support’ by Solar Quotes 2023 survey of over 500 Australian installers. Most recently, REC was nominated as one of Australia’s Top Brands for solar panels by EUPD.
