AGL’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Plan: Exclusive home electricity plan for electric vehicle owners introduced in NSW
In a bid to contribute towards a sustainable future in Australia, a special home electricity plan has been launched by AGL exclusively for NSW electric vehicle (EV) owners. The initiative aims to reward EV owners by offering bonus credits on their home electricity bills. Additionally, customers have the option to opt for a Carbon Neutral feature for just $1 per week.
Effective July 1, 2023, the electricity prices associated with this plan will be modified. It is important to note that the prices of variable rate electricity plans will also be subject to change from the same date. Rest assured, if any changes occur, the customers will be duly informed. The partnership, which coincides with the debut of AGL’s updated EV home energy plan in New South Wales in July, will also provide consumers who sign up for that plan with a lower cost for public charging at bp pulse stations.

To be eligible for the AGL Electric Vehicle Plan you must own at least one electric vehicle that is registered in the same name, and to the same address as your AGL electricity account. In order to verify you own an electric vehicle, you must provide your vehicle registration number, and vehicle make and model at the time of signing up for the plan. The AGL Electric Vehicle Plan includes a credit of up to $480 (GST incl.) over the 24-month Energy Plan Period. This amount will be applied to your electricity account as a $60 credit every three months and will appear on your next bill after the credit is applied. The credit amount is non-transferable and reduces the price of the supply of electricity. You will only be entitled to receive credits for the duration of the period that you remain on the AGL Electric Vehicle Plan or remain eligible for the energy plan.
